Friends Fellowship of Indiana, Inc., is greatly blest to have Rev. Roe Farris, as director, and Rev. Ruth Winstead, as assistant director. These two ladies have been diligent in their efforts on behalf of the Lord's work in the women's prisons in Indiana, and their spiritual leadership has helped hundreds of women offenders, both young as well as mature in age, in these prisons over the years. It's clear that God has called them to this ministry. Their leadership is grounded in their spiritual stability and growth.
The Board of Directors, that helps guide this ministry, is pleased with Roe and Ruth's leadership, and thanks them for their many years of work on behalf of the inmates and their families.

Rev. Roe Farris has been the director and spiritual leader of Friends Fellowship of Indiana, Inc. for more than 21 years. She is an ordained Assemblies of God minister. Roe was married for many years to the late "Bud" Farris. She is the assistant chaplain at the Indiana Women's Prison and conducts worship services there when the chaplain is not available. Roe also preaches at the Friends Fellowship services the second Sunday evening of every month, conducts Bible studies and special classes such as "Healing for Damaged Emotions" at the prisons. She also makes herself available to visit various churches to tell about the prison ministry, and conducts training sessions for new Friends Fellowship volunteers. Her tireless efforts on behalf of the prison ministry have helped this ministry grow in many ways through the years.

Rev. Ruth Winstead has been a wonderful helpmate to Roe for many years. Like Roe, she is also widowed and is an ordained minister and teaches Bible studies and special classes at the prisons, as well as preaches on certain occasions. Ruth has been so faithful to the ministry and has served for many years on the board. She also leads praise and worship on Sunday mornings at the Indiana Women's Prison, and teaches a lesson to the offenders in lock. It's because of volunteers and staff like Ruth that Roe has been able to carry on this ministry and expand it.
